Mixed Dal should be soaked for atleast 2 hours prior to cooking, this is useful since all dals have different water content and when soaked they will cook evenly and the consistency of the final dal cooked will be soft. Mixed lentils can be prepared like any other dal, over the stove or in a pressure cooker.
